Maryland Spine Center grew out of intensive research & development at the University of Maryland to more accurately diagnose spinal disorders and improve the results of major spinal surgery.  Dr. Edwards and associates worked for more than two decades to develop many successful new procedures for patients with deformities too severe or disorders too complex for standard approaches. The Maryland Spine Center was founded to make these improved methods and our extensive experience available to more patients in a comfortable and efficient environment.

For every new patient, we begin with a systematic approach & precise techniques for high degree of diagnostic accuracy. When surgery is indicated, we utilize state of the art technology and intra-operative stress-relaxation to achieve a greater degree of correction, often with less surgery than previously available.  Following surgery, our extensive physical therapy and rehabilitation resources help speed patient recovery.
